Amy Crowe
HEAD COACH
Since my first school cross-country experience I’ve been hooked on running and with someone else doing my washing I enjoyed lots of muddy races and orienteering. Spinal surgery and university then got in the way of my early running career until I moved to the area and joined the Harriers in 2009.
I loved the sense of community, particularly at races, so it wasn’t long before I was persuaded to try my first marathon – a respectable 4:48! Long and slow seemed to suit me so I did my first ultra in 2010, coming 3rd solo female in TR24 with 75 miles.
Throwing 2 children into the mix I had to train smarter…. In March 2012 I was last in a fell race but by November, thanks to help from the club I had run a qualifying time for London Marathon. I also had an idea… the Bob Graham Round - a fell running challenge in the Lake District, 42 Lakeland Fells, 66 miles and 27,000 feet of elevation in less than 24 hours. In summer 2015, to celebrate my 30th birthday I tackled this with a support team consisting mostly of club mates and became the first (and to date the only) female Harrier to join the Bob Graham Club, my proudest achievement.
Since then I have followed structured training plans, racing distances from 5k to 105 miles. I’ve had the honour of representing Cheshire in both the inter-county fell championships and on the road and I have also qualified for the Championship start of the London marathon multiple times.
I used the “downtime” during my third pregnancy to upskill my coaching qualifications and have really enjoyed taking regular club interval sessions. Following the birth of my third daughter I’ve been working hard with my own training as well as continuing to make sure the club training sessions run smoothly and offer a variety of options for everyone.
I love setting and working towards a target and in my role as head coach I look forward to helping you motivate and challenge yourselves to improve and achieve your personal goals!

Louise Laurie
COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER
Hi everyone, I’m Louise and I look after the communications for the club. This includes managing the website, social media pages, building the newsletter, creating promotional materials, responding to member and potential member queries, and helping with the promotion of club in general, as well as events and races.
I’ve been running for about 8 years on and off, I joined SCH about 6 years ago following the breakdown of my long-term relationship at the time. I mostly joined to meet others to run with but it quickly became a big part of my life and I’ve met some amazing people in the process..
When I was asked to help with the committee, I jumped at the chance. I work in marketing and comms for my day job, and so it was great to use my skills for something I’m passionate about, whilst giving back something to the club that has helped me so much over the years.
During my time as comms officer, our club values, website and social media pages have been overhauled, and we’ve become much more active on social media, with the aim of building an online community, whilst raising the profile of the club in the local area!
I’ve also been trying to get members involved in sharing their running stories and successes on the blog and social media, as well as sharing their positive experiences of the club to help and inspire current and potential new members.
In addition I’m actively involved with the race team and helped with the promotion of the sell-out Crewe10k earlier this year.
I’m always looking for new ideas so if you have any ideas for comms, social media, the website, blog, club promotion etc - get in touch!

Nathan Kapp
TREASURER
I have to say I’m still learning when it comes to running, I properly took it up 2019 after Alice persuaded me to put my running shoes back on, since then I’ve never looked back!
I’m a bit parkrun obsessive, most weeks I’ll be ticking off new parkruns around the county or aboard, I will happily book a weekend away around it and also drive 2 hours to tick off a new location.
I joined the club during lockdown at the start of 2021 and have never looked back. I was very lucky to get a London marathon place through the club and have to say the whole experience was amazing, so thankful for the opportunity! I also support as a run leader and I throughly enjoy leading and seeing other members of club progress.
My role on the committee is the clubs Treasurer. As a chartered accountant and someone who loves a good excel spreadsheet, it felt a natural role where I could support. This covers paying England Athletics for everyone’s affiliation to paying the chip butties at team socials.
Outside of running, I love travelling and visiting new places. I’m a keen football fan and follow Liverpool home & away; also when I can I’ll go and watch The Alex, a personal challenge is to tick off all the 92 grounds in the country.
Proud to be part of SCH officer team and supporting where I can!

Claire Kivlin
COMPETITION’S OFFICER
When I started my running journey after having my daughter Eva, I never thought it would lead to where I’m at today. Initially I took up running to regain some fitness, but now I enjoy racing as much as social running.
I’ve been running for over 7 years now, 6 years of which have been with Team SCH.
A lot of my spare time is now taken up with running activities. Run leading club runs, Parkrun with the family and racing all over the local areas too.
I was really excited to be given the opportunity to be your competition’s officer. I build and manage the club competitions each year by picking a variety of races, distances and locations. If you have any questions about racing in general or any of the club competitions just give me a shout.
Outside of running, I love my garden, Music (the noisier the better), a good book and spending time with team Kivlin.

RACING OFFICER

Sharna Gallagher
MEMBERSHIP OFFICER
I have enjoyed running from childhood when I was introduced to Crewe and Nantwich AC. After a very long break, I joined SCH in 2017 to help with my training for the Great North Run. 6 years and a few races later, I’m not sure what I had been doing with my spare time before!
My proudest achievement to date would be gaining my first Good For Age marathon qualification; no longer my quickest but one I pushed the hardest to get. I like to set new goals and when joining SCH I never thought I’d be capable of some of my results. The club has played a huge part in that with the opportunity for training, coaching advice and support of our amazing members.
Away from the running shoes, I enjoy a bit of cycling, being in the garden, or getting stuck into a good documentary! Anyway, back to running…
As membership officer, I focus on our member benefits, events, kit and anything else that you may want to see from the club as a member… so please get in touch!
