Cloud 9 Fell Race

New for Cloud 9 2026! – Partly due to the closure of a canal bridge this year the main part of the route will be run in an anticlockwise rotation (as we last did in 2008!) with some route modifications around the Biddulph Valley Way, but remaining 9 miles overall. However, the majority of the route around the Bridgestones and Cloud remains, though running it in the opposite direction will make it feel very different – please see route map.

The TFG Beer & Pudding Races

NOTE: Long route (13.5KM) qualifies for the Club Champs

Trails For Good are excited to invite you to the Peak District this Spring to take part in our Beer and Pudding Trail Run event, taking in all that the excellent market town of Bakewell has to offer.

Choose between our fully waymarked short (7km, 100m ascent) or long (13.5km, 260m ascent) route for this Sunday morning trail run with a flexible start time between 9:00-10:00 (long) and 10:00-10:30 (short). Simply select your 10 minute start window when registering and enjoy more space on the trails and at viewpoints thanks to our small group waved start approach.

You will take in picturesque views of the surrounding area as you climb out of town before enjoying a long and gentle decent back to Bakewell along the iconic Monsal trail and by the River Wye. Long route runners will tackle an additional climb leading to a satisfying decent through leafy woodland to re-join the short route.

Finish the event by heading back to our event HQ at the Thornbridge Brewery Tap Room where the Trails For Good team will be waiting to welcome you back from your adventure with an award winning beer and Bakewell pudding.

Long course runners will be required to carry a mandatory kit and Short course runners will be required to wear kit appropriate for the terrain and conditions (full details avaialble on our website here).

Our responsible event ethos means that a proportion of your race entry fee will go to local businesses and charities who make the Peak District what it is.  Head to www.trailsforgood.co.uk to see how we are working towards delivering the most responsible trail races in the Peak District.

This event will be held under UK Athletics rules and has been licenced by the Trail Running Association (https://www.tra-uk.org/).

Cheshire 3 Peaks (Half Marathon)

Cheshire 3 Peaks (Half Marathon)

This new event takes in some of Cheshire's finest country, and certainly its highest!
As the name suggests, we take in the 3 highest tops in the county on this 13.1 mile loop - so you can be sure sure of a great variety of terrain on your way around this lovely loop from Tegg's Nose Country Park, above Macclesfield. The course, as it's name suggests, is quite hilly, with 847m of ascent meaning that there'll certainly be some walking involved for most, but it remains inclusive with a generous 4 hour cut off for completion.

Sandstone Trail Half

Sandstone Trail Half

The Sandstone Trail Half replaces the previous Sandstone Trail Races.  The race has one start at Bickerton Hill National Trust Car Park which was the start of the previous 17 mile 'A' race.  The race will finish at Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre.

There is no parking at the start area so we recommend runners taking a place on our bus from the finish area to the start and collecting their car from the finish area after the race.  Alternatively you can arrange your own drop off at the start area and collection at the finish area.  The new finish area has tremendous facilities for runners and spectators including showers and a cafe.

Due to our responsibility to our marshals we have a 3 hour 30 mins cut off.
