Cut off time and Early Starters
This race has a cut off time of 4 hours from the official start time of 09:30.
We will set a small group of runners off at 08:30 to ensure they finish prior to the cut off time. If you do choose the earlier time, we highlight to you that the course will feature the signs but the marshals will NOT be at their marshal points until later. This goes for the water stations too so please ensure you are rightly prepared.
If you don’t think you'll complete the race within the allocated four hours, and you are choosing to set off at the earlier time of 08:30, please let us know ASAP, so we can inform the company doing the chip times for us.
FAIR WARNING
Please note that the early start time is for persons who would not complete the race in under 4 hours. Every starter for the 08:30 time should be aiming to finish between 4-5 hours. This is to provide them a fair chance without extending the hours on the course for the volunteers our race needs to have.
Anyone starting at 08:30 and finishing in under 3 hours 45 minutes hours will not have their times accounted for in any competition-based results (i.e. NSRRA).
Arrival and Parking
Please plan your journey to arrive between 08:20 and 09:00.
If arriving by car, participants of the race will be guided to park on the field situated opposite Shavington Leisure Centre. Car parking attendants/marshals will be there to guide you.
We ask that you DO NOT attempt to park at the Leisure Centre itself.
Number Collection
Once you have parked / arrived at the Leisure Centre, please make your way through the main entrance towards the Sports Hall which is where Race HQ will be set up.
You can collect your race numbers from the collection desk.
*If you are setting off at 08:30, please arrive at 08:10
Pre-Race and Safety Briefing
Your pre-race and safety briefing will be given at 09:20 outside the Leisure Centre.
*If you are setting off at 08:30, the briefing will take place at 08:20
Please remember this is NOT a closed road race, therefore you must ensure you abide by road running standards and listen to the marshals around the course who offer any instruction. This is for the safety of everyone.
We do not advocate the use of earphones/headphones/airpods or other products which may hinder your ability to hear the traffic, marshals and surroundings.
