Secret Half & 20
With half the elevation of Wilmslow half, and 100ft less climb than Village Bakery half, the Secret Half is the perfect race for getting that PB! It’s got the same elevation gain as Crewe parkrun!!
Also running on the same day, the Secret 20 miler, with only 280ft of climb over 20 miles, you’ll struggle to find a faster route! Ideally placed for a spring marathon - only 4 weeks before Manchester and 5 weeks before London, perfect to see how your marathon prep is going!

Starting at Mickley Hall, this flat and fast half marathon takes in 2 loops of beautiful Cheshire country lanes.
With less than 200ft of elevation gain over the 13.11, this route is definitely one to maximise your PB potential!
Finishing at the Event Village, at Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, each competitor will receive a goodie bag including a high quality medal.
The Event Village will have entertainment, and there will be discounted entry to the Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker, and their cafe.

Arrival and Parking
Please plan your journey to arrive between 07:45 and 08:15.
If arriving by car, participants of the race will be guided to park on Mickley Hall Shooting School car park. Car parking attendants/marshals will be there to guide you.
We ask that you DO NOT attempt to park at Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker.
Number Collection
Once you have parked / arrived at Mickley Hall, please make your way towards the shooting hall reception - which is where Race HQ will be set up.
You can collect your race numbers from the collection desk.
Pre-Race and Safety Briefing
Your pre-race and safety briefing will be given at 09:20.
You must ensure you abide by road running standards and listen to the marshals around the course who offer any instruction. This is for the safety of everyone.
We do not advocate the use of earphones/headphones/airpods or other products which may hinder your ability to hear the traffic, marshals and surroundings.
The Course
A description of the course. I have attached a map for your perusal.
The race starts on French Lane.
Drinks Stations
There will be 2 drinks stations each lap along the course situated at approx. half way, and the end of each lap.
We will be offering bottles of water.
Prizes
We will be holding a prize ceremony, for both races, at the end of the 20M race.
20M In the 20 miler, a prize for first male, and first female, will be £100, second places £50, and £30 for third. Should any runner break the course record, a bonus cash prize will be given of £100.
Half In the half, a prize for first male, and first female, will be £100, second places £50, and £30 for third. Should any runner break the course record, a bonus cash prize will be given of £100.
Goody Bags
At the end you will be provided with a goody bag for completing the race.
Lead Bike and Sweeper
We will have a lead cyclist and sweeper runner on the course.
